Perpetual Transition

Perpetual Transition is our core Transgender Services peer-led community group. PT is a safe and welcoming space for transgender folks of any flavor, identity, expression, or gender to meet and socialize with other like-minded individuals.
PT is open to anyone who identifies as transgender or is questioning, and is a safe and confidential space to ask questions and meet other people.

Love Sessions

Love sessions are conversations not lectures about how to provide yourself with some TLC and making sure you are at your best to be good partner for your next or current relationship. These sessions are built to open the door to conversations that go untouched. Love Sessions are put on in partnership with the Family Safety Center and others.

Write Your Life: Autobiography Class for Seniors

In this class, students will learn the ins and outs of writing about their life, with the goal of learning how to compose an autobiographical journal in order to preserve LGBTQ and personal histories.

NBGnC

NBGnC is a peer-led community social group for non-binary and gender non-conforming individuals in the Memphis LGBTQ community. This group is meant to foster discussion, bonding, and community between NB/GNC folks and allies, regardless of gender expression or other factors.

Mid-South Pride Meeting

Mid-South Pride’s monthly open meeting. Mid-South Pride is the power behind Memphis Pride Fest, a fabulous weekend of LGBTQ Pride Festivals, Parades, and events in September each year. For more information check out their website.

Tai Chi for Health

Tai Chi for Health Classes for LGBTQ Seniors. Tai Chi is low impact exercise perfect for maintaining and increasing flexibility. Maxine Strawder, a certified Tai Chi for Health instructor, will lead the second round of this well-attended series.

Action for Hope and Healing: Responses to Community Violence

OUTMemphis will be joining Le Bonheur Children’s Hospital and many other organizations from the Memphis area for this event, a response to community violence in Memphis. This event will be held on Saturday, April 6th at 12:00p at Le Bonheur Children’s Hospital in the Auditorium, 130 North Manassas St. Memphis, TN 38103.

PRYSM

PRYSM is a safe, welcoming space for 13-17 year-olds to meet friends and get support.
PRYSM was engineered as a space for young LGBTQ and Ally teens to socialize with each other and have fun in a safe, affirming, supportive environment.

FU;BU (For Us; By Us)

FU;BU is a peer-led community social group for same-gender loving (SGL) men of color. The primary goal of FU;BU is to foster a safe, creative, and positive space for SGL men of color. FU;BU aims to build positive relationships with self and community through great conversation, while providing a forum for community building and socializing.

Meristem Women’s Book Club

Meristem will be meeting at Novel Bookstore to participate in the book signing and reading of Fat Angie: Rebel Girl Revolution. (sequel to the 2014 Stonewall Award young adult fiction winner Fat Angie). The book costs $16.99 and 20% of proceeds from sale of the new book that night will go to OUTMemphis!
