Mackenzie M. Williams
Transgender Services Fellowship
Pronouns: She/Her/Hers
Mackenzie Williams is the Transgender Services Fellowship at OUTMemphis. Mackenzie became involved with OUTMemphis when she was 16 by attending PRYSM, our social support group for LGBTQ+ & allied youth, and by helping out and volunteering when possible. Over the years, Mackenzie has remained involved with OUTMemphis and has always actively promoted our HIV testing that OUTMemphis provides within her community. In 2016, Mackenzie joined the Sexual Health Committee and has helped put on events related to sexual health, helped with outreach, and assisted with HIV testing and distributing condoms at community events. In December 2019 she was given the Sexual Health Volunteer of the Year award and received a certificate acknowledging her ongoing dedication to HIV Prevention. As the new Trans Services Fellowship Mackenzie will assist the Trans Services Manager with programming tasks by helping facilitate our peer support groups, help with outreach, event planning, assessing community needs, resource gathering, and various other tasks related to aiding the trans community here in Memphis.
