Trans Awareness Week is Nov 14th through Nov 20th and the Transgender Services Committee at OUTMemphis has a series of events planned. Check out the flyer (left) and mark your calendar.

- Trans Awareness Week: Prayer Vigil and Flag Ceremony, 6:00p-7:00p: Join us for a prayer vigil and flag lowering to honor the trans lives lost this year. For more information email Kayla Gore, Transgender Services Specialist.
- Tuesday, 11/15:
- Trans Awareness Week: Trans Day of Service, 4:00p-5:00p at First Congregational Church (1000 S. Cooper St): For Trans Day of Service we are meeting at First Congregational Church to prepare sack lunches. For more information email Kayla Gore, Transgender Services Specialist.
- Wednesday, 11/16:
- Trans Awareness Week: “A Woman with a Physical Problem”, 5:00p-7:00p, at Cossitt Library (33 S. Front St): Join us for a screening of “A Woman with a Physical Problem”, a documentary featuring four Memphis transgender women. For more information email Kayla Gore, Transgender Services Specialist.

- Trans Awareness Week: Day of Reflection/Ice Cream Social, 7:30p-9:30p: This time of year can be difficult for transgender people, their allies, and their families. Join us for a night of ice cream, socializing, and self-care. For more information email Kayla Gore, Transgender Services Specialist.

- Trans Awareness Week: Community Health Fair, 2:00p-3:30p, at Cossitt Library (33 S. Front St): Join us for this gathering of local and national health care providers with resources and information specifically catering to transgender patients. - Trans Awareness Week: Playback Memphis Trans Awareness Week Performance, 7:00p-9:00p, at First Congregational Church (1000 South Cooper St.): The Playback Memphis Theater Company will work with an audience of transgender and allied people to turn the stories of local transgender people into theater. - Trans Awareness Week: Trans Best of Memphis Release Party “Masqueerade Theme”, 7:00p-10pm, at First Congo Church (1000 South Cooper St.): After the vigil we will move over to First Congo Church to celebrate the release of this year’s Trans Best of Memphis guide and honor members of the Trans Community.
