Join us for a live conversation and discussion with Fr. James Martin, S.J. via Skype August 22nd at 7:30pm in the Conference Room in the Cathedral Center. We will be discussing Fr. Martin’s newest book, “Building a Bridge” which inspires a framework for a respectful dialog between the Catholic Church and the LGBT community based on respect, compassion, and sensitivity. In parts of his book, Fr. Martin refers to ideas expressed by Pope Francis in his Apostolic Exhortation on family life Amoris Laetitia – the joy of love.
A bestselling author and writer for many publications, Fr. Martin is a regular commentator in the national and international media. Before joining the Jesuits in 1988, Fr. Martin graduated from the Wharton School of Business. This year, Pope Francis has appointed him a Consultor for the Vatican Secretariat for Communication.
We will gather at 7pm – dessert will be provided.
