Community Leader Maxine Strawder has been honored with the Women of Achievement Award!

Maxine, along with several other powerful women in Memphis (pictured below) is being honored with a Women of Achievement Award for her involvement with the community. Maxine Strawder is being given the award for Initiative, recognizing her drive towards positive change.

Maxine is a constant contributor to the programs here at OUTMemphis, including her work with the Senior Services Committee and teaching Tai Chi for Health for our LGBTQ seniors. Maxine is also a regular member of Meristem Book Club, a program hosted at OUTMemphis that fosters reading and discussion of progressive literature for women of the Mid-South.
