From Tennessee Equality Project:

The Tennessee Equality Project condemns House passage of HB563, a bill we call the Business License to Discriminate. The provision about anti-discrimination policies is a clear  swipe at the LGBTQ community since we are not already protected by federal and state law in employment, housing, and public accommodations. This bill ties the hands of local governments in serving the needs of their residents and in using their tax dollars to attract the best jobs to their communities.

We will now focus our attention on the Senate as they have to pass a bill with the identical language before it can be voted on to become law.  We will begin a postcard writing campaign very soon. Please watch for info about when, where and how that will take place.

This isn’t over.  Stay energized.  Stay focused.  Stay woke.

TEP will be holding a postcard-writing party on March 31st. If you’d like to attend, you can find more information on the Facebook Event.
