Starting on September 11th, CHOICES will begin sending staff members to OUTMemphis every Wednesday evening during our regularly scheduled HIV testing hours (6:00p-9:00p) to offer syphilis, gonorrhea, and chlamydia tests, free of charge.
OUTMemphis is proud to collaborate with our partner organization CHOICES: Memphis Center for Reproductive Health. Thanks to a grant from Campaign for Southern Equality, OUTMemphis and CHOICES are able to come together for the first time to provide a pilot program that will allow more LGBTQ and Allied folks in the Mid-South to have access to free STI testing beyond HIV.
OUTMemphis has been at the forefront of HIV testing in Memphis for years. We provide free 20 minute HIV testing that is fast, safe, and confidential every Monday and Wednesday evening from 6:00p-9:00p. For those who come in to get an HIV test with us, we also offer take-home tests that can be self-administered at home at a later date. In the years since we have been providing these services, we have seen thousands of clients for testing. Because of this we have been able to navigate those who tested negative towards resources for prevention, and those who tested positive towards resources for treatment and care.
Free STI testing will run every Wednesday from 6:00p-9:00p until October 16th.
