LGBTQ Seniors Celebration Month Events: 1st Week in May
- PNA Senior Expo, Tuesday, May 1st, 9:00a-2:00p, Agricenter International (7777 Walnut Grove Road, Memphis, TN 38120): Join us at the Senior Expo! OUTMemphis Senior Services Committee will be set up at the Senior Expo, a one-stop shop for seniors where businesses, non-profits, and government organizations will be connecting seniors to needed services. The Senior Expo is put on by the Professional Network on Aging. Parking and admission are both free, so make sure you stop by our table. Let us know you are coming by RSVPing on facebook.
- Estate Planning: Unique Considerations for LGBTQ People, Wednesday, May 2nd, 5:30p-7:00p, OUTMemphis: Local LGBTQ attorney Susan Mackenzie will join us to talk about legal matters critical to LGBTQ individuals and their families, how to use online legal resources, and will answer questions about estate and health care planning. - Seniors OUT for Coffee with Guest Speaker Terrie Kirksey, Sunday, May 6th, 11:30a-3:00p, OUTMemphis: Join us for our monthly coffee club. This month we will be joined by Terrie Kirksey, Assistant Director of Creative Aging. Coffee and refreshments will be provided, so please RSVP on facebook or via email.

- LGBTQ Senior Celebration, Saturday, May 12th, 7:00p-9:00p, OUTMemphis: Join us for a House Party at OUTMemphis! Party refreshments will be available, so please RSVP on facebook or via email.
- Tai Chi for Health Classes for LGBTQ Seniors, First Class, Tuesday, May 22nd, 11:00a-12:00p, OUTMemphis: We are kicking off a summer series for health with Tai Chi. Class space is limited and participants who can join us for multiple classes are given priority, so please check out our facebook event or email us to RSVP.
- AARP Safe Driver Course, Tuesday May 29th and Wednesday, May 30th, 5:00p-9:00p, OUTMemphis: The AARP Safe Driver course is an 8-hour class that, once complete, can be used to lower your car insurance rate. OUTMemphis is picking up the bill, so you can take the course for free! Space is limited, so please register by clicking here.
