Whether you enjoy fine art, are trying to stay fit and flexible, want to keep active and on the road, need some legal assistance, or just want to spend time with some old and new friends—the LGBTQ Seniors Celebration Month has something for you.
LGBTQ Seniors Celebration Month Events: 3rd Week in May
- LGBTQ Senior Celebration, Saturday, May 12th, 7:00p-9:00p, OUTMemphis: Join us for a House Party at OUTMemphis! We’ll be jamming to music from the 60s and 70s, reminiscing about the good ole days, and having fun with old and new friends. Party refreshments will be available, so please RSVP on facebook or via email. Can’t find a place to park? Park at First Congo near the playground and either walk or take our Versa shuttle to OUTMemphis.
- Seniors OUT and About at the Dixon, Tuesday, May 15th at 9:45a, Dixon Gallery and Gardens (4339 Park Ave, 38117): We will be meeting at the Dixon Gallery and Gardens in the lobby at 9:45am for a free guided tour. This event is free for all LGBTQ senior participants. Tickets are limited, so please RSVP on facebook or via email.

- Tai Chi for Health Classes for LGBTQ Seniors, First Class, Tuesday, May 22nd, 11:00a-12:00p, OUTMemphis: We are kicking off a summer series for health with Tai Chi. Class space is limited and participants who can join us for multiple classes are given priority, so please check out our facebook event or email us to RSVP.
- AARP Safe Driver Course, Tuesday May 29th and Wednesday, May 30th, 5:00p-9:00p, OUTMemphis: The AARP Safe Driver course is an 8-hour class that, once complete, can be used to lower your car insurance rate. OUTMemphis is picking up the bill, so you can take the course for free! This class is now full. Please contact us if you want to be in the loop for future events like this.
