Memphis Pride Fest powered by Mid-South Pride is right around the corner!
Mid-South Pride, the organization responsible for planning Memphis Pride Fest each year, is now in their 16th year of helping Memphis show up and show out for Pride! Like many southern cities, Memphis holds this festival and parade later in the year instead of June because of the heat and other factors. This event occurs the last weekend of September every year.
This city-wide event isn’t easy to put on, and it doesn’t happen without a LOT of hard work. That’s where you can help.
Mid-South Pride holds their Open Meeting at OUTMemphis on the first Tuesday of the month from 7:00p-8:00p. These meetings are open to the public, and your voice is a welcome addition to the process. These meetings are a great way to get involved in the process, add your valuable skills to theirs, and possibly even seek out a board position.
There are two more Open Meetings before Pride, August 6th and September 3rd. We hope you will plan on attending and getting involved with this year’s festival. For more information, you can visit their website, their Facebook page, and the event page for their Open Meetings at OUTMemphis.
