Memphis Public Libraries Pride Kick-OffÂ

OUTMemphis is delighted to be partnering with Memphis Public Libraries, Memphis Friends of the Library, and many other community partners to throw this kick-off for Pride in Memphis! This family friendly event will be available to all, and the itinerary will be packed full of fun things to do on Friday and Saturday (see below for the event schedule).
Friday night will kick off the party from 3:30p-5:00p as OUTFlix will be screening a series of LGBTQ+ teen-friendly short films with a panel discussion to follow.
Saturday, you will hear from local nonprofits, learn from educational sessions, play games, make arts and crafts, get your face painted, sit in on Rainbow Family Story Time with Moth Moth Moth, and add to a community mural. Keynote speakers Congressman Steve Cohen and Senator Raumesh Akbari will be there to welcome everyone and help get the day started.
PRYSM, our youth group for 13-17 LGBTQ+ and Allied youth, will not be meeting on Saturday, and instead are invited to join us with their guardians at this event. We will have an OUTMemphis table, so make sure to come check in when you arrive.
