Monday, 11/19:
- Trans Awareness Week – Trans Photo and Interview Project, 6:00p-9:00p: We are openly inviting diverse members of the Transgender and Gender Non-Conforming community to attend for interview and photo sessions. OUTMemphis intends to tell stories of healing, exploration, successes, and aspirations by sharing the voices of Trans and GNC people in their own words. Hosted by Lexi Kay Hayes. - Perpetual Transition, 6:00p-7:30p: Perpetual Transition is a support and social group for transgender people in the Memphis metropolitan area that has been meeting since 2005. Perpetual Transition is safe and confidential, and is open to transgender people of any variety. For more information email Kayla Gore, Transgender Services Specialist.
- HIV testing, 6:00p-9:00p: Need an HIV test? Come to OUTMemphis and get a free, rapid, oral swab HIV test. No blood and your results will be ready in 20 minutes. For more information, email Martavius Hampton, Sexual Health Program Director.
Tuesday, 11/20:
- Trans Awareness Week – Chat and Chew TDOR Vigil, 6:00p-9:00p, The Haven (206 GE Patterson Ave, Memphis, TN 38103): Transgender Day of Remembrance is always observed on November 20th. We hold this day to remember the lives led by those we’ve lost due to anti-Trans violence. Join us as we share in conversation about how to protect Trans people and a vigil in honor of those brave lives gone to soon. Click here (our website) or here (facebook) for more information.
- Tu Ppl: LGBTQIA+ Latinx Supportive Social Group, 7:00p-8:00p: Tu Ppl is a social and supportive group for Latinx/Hispanic members of the Memphis community that also identify with the LGBTQIA+ community. Tu Ppl is a space for LGBTQIA+ Latinx people come together to bond over these two identities. Tú Ppl es un grupo social y de apoyo para gente Latina/Hispana en Memphis que tambien es parte de la comunidad LGBTQIA+.
