Manna House Memphis is a drop in center that offers hospitality to homeless and poor guests. Hospitality includes welcoming of guests, and the offering of basic services such as clothing, hygiene items, showers, and serving coffee or other beverages. Manna House is grounded in the spirit of the Catholic Worker Movement and seeks to welcome guests from the streets with a spirit of hospitality that respects their dignity.
In addition to giving Metamorphosis project clients another safe haven during the day, Manna House has made significant donations to the Metamophosis Project as a whole and to individual clients. Often clients have significant financial barriers to finding housing (ex: unpaid MLGW bills, high new renter costs, and/or fees associated with getting replacement government IDs) and Manna House has been instrumental in helping us find the financial resources to assist some of our clients.
