LGBTQ Support for Friends and Family of Problem Drinkers
MGLCC was founded, in part, to be an alternative to the bars for meeting other LGBTQ people. After 27 years MGLCC is still an alcohol-free organization, and staff work hard to bring some of the social events normally only experienced in bars to the center for people of all ages. But that is only half of the equation—the other half is caring for our own. Seeking Serenity is a supportive group for friends and family of problem drinkers, and while allies are welcome, the group is centered on the lives and experiences of LGBTQ people.
Seeking Serenity meets Thursdays from 5:30-6:30 PM and is coordinated by committed volunteer facilitators.
