Advocates for Youth
Established in 1980 Advocates for Youth champions efforts to help young people make informed and responsible decisions about their reproductive and sexual health. Advocates believes it can best serve the field by boldly advocating for a more positive and realistic approach to adolescent sexual health. Advocates for Youth is the only organization that works both in the United States and in developing countries with a sole focus on adolescent reproductive and sexual health
Gender Spectrum
Gender Spectrum provides consultation, training and events designed to help families, educators, professionals, and organizations understand and address the concepts of gender identity and expression. Their accessible, practical approach is based on research and experience, enabling clients to gain a deeper understanding of gender all along the spectrum.
Gender Spectrum presents an overview of how society currently defines gender and how these restrictive definitions can be detrimental to those who do not fit neatly into these categories. They then help you identify and remove the obstacles so all are free to be their authentic selves.
GLSEN
GLSEN, the Gay, Lesbian & Straight Education Network, is a national education organization working to ensure safe schools for ALL students, regardless of sexual orientation and gender identity. GLSEN envisions a world in which every child learns to accept and respect all people, regardless of sexual orientation and gender identity/expression.
GSA Network
Genders & Sexualities Alliance Network is a national youth leadership organization that connects school-based GSA clubs to each other and community resources. Through peer support, leadership development, and training, GSA Network supports young people in starting, strengthening, and sustaining GSAs and builds the capacity of GSAs to:
- create safe environments in schools for students to support each other and learn about homophobia and other oppressions,
- educate the school community about homophobia, gender identity, and sexual orientation issues, and
- fight discrimination, harassment, and violence in schools.
GSA Network is a next-generation LGBTQ racial and gender justice organization that empowers and trains queer, trans and allied youth leaders
It Gets Better Project
The It Gets Better Project’s mission is to communicate to lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender youth around the world that it gets better, and to create and inspire the changes needed to make it better for them.
Sex etc.
Sex education by teens, for teens. Info on birth control, condoms, HIV/AIDS & STDs, pregnancy and more. Sex, Etc. is published by Answer. They feel that sexual health information is ALWAYS helpful, not harmful. They hear from teens all over the country that they ARE NOT getting enough information about sex, including contraception, from their parents and schools. They are desperate for the information they need to keep them safe and turn to sites like this to get what they need. Sex education for the vulnerable population of teenagers is very much needed and required, so they can be aware and not afraid to ask the questions they need to.
The Trevor Project
