Wow! What an amazing turnout for the The Metamorphosis Project Groundbreaking Ceremony!
OUTMemphis would like to thank Assisi Foundation, Plough Foundation, Mystic Krewe of Pegasus Memphis, Friends For Life Corporation, Memphis Express, Manna House Memphis, County Commissioner Tami Sawyer, Mayor Jim Strickland, Davin Clemons, IKEA, Tennessee Equality Project, Mid-South Pride, Focus Mid-South, Tri-State Black Pride, Reginald Milton, Target, our OUTMemphis Staff, Board of Directors, and Volunteers, and everyone in the community who showed up to celebrate this auspicious occasion!
This Youth Emergency Center will be the first and only shelter tackling the needs of LGBTQ youth experiencing homelessness in Memphis, and it wouldn’t be happening without the support of this wonderful Memphis community.
We look forward to having everyone back in 4-6 months for the ribbon cutting ceremony!
In the words of our Executive Director Molly Quinn, “A world-class city needs a world-class LGBTQ institution“, and that’s what we aim to be, with your help.
