- Trans Awareness Week – Community Service Day, 10:00a-2:00p, Multiple Locations: This day, we as trans and gender non-conforming people give back. Trans people are known for their kindness and generosity; we take this day to share the love and support we’ve received with those experiencing homelessness. - Delta TransMasculine, 5:30p-6:30p: DTM is a group for trans men and transmasculine individuals. For more information, contact Kayla Gore, Transgender Services Specialist.
- GenQ, 7:00p-9:00p: Generation Queer, or GenQ, is a social group for 18-25 year old LGBTQ and Allied young adults. Check GenQ out on facebook, contact facilitators, or just drop by and check the group out.
- Saturday, 11/17
- Trans Awareness Week – Self-Care Saturday, Anywhere, All Day: Self-care is very important to all people. This week is draining and can be traumatic for some trans/gnc people. - TransParent, 2:00p-3:00p: TransParent is a social supportive group for parents of transgender and gender-exploring kids and teens. For more information contact KT Hiestand.
- FU;BU, 4:00p-6:00p, El Mercadito (3766 Ridgeway Rd, Memphis, TN 38115, USA): FU;BU (For Us; By Us) is a social/support group designed for same gender loving (SGL) men of color (MOC). - Trans Awareness Week – Trans Girls Rock, 6:00p-9:00p, Azul Tequila Bar (4672 American Way, Memphis, TN 38118, USA): Trans Girls Rock! was inspired and created by local Transwomen to honor and acknowledge the works of Transwomen and gender non-conforming individuals within the city of Memphis and the surrounding areas. The honorees will be acknowledged for their work in Business, Community Involvement, Entertainment, Advocacy, and Overall Impact.
