Seeking Serenity provides a weekly session for LGBTQ community members whose support is associated with problem drinkers to convene for community, discussion, and social support from like-minded people in similar situations. While allies are welcome, Seeking Serenity is centered and gives precedent to the lives and experiences of LGBTQ people.
Kick back, relax, and catch a flick with your community! Our weekly Movie Night is the perfect chance to unwind in a chill, affirming space for LGBTQ+ youth 18-24. We screen everything from queer classics to feel-good favorites.
Bookstock is the largest annual local authors festival in Memphis! Sponsored by our wonderful Friends of the Library, Bookstock 2025 is scheduled for Saturday, May 3, 2025 from 11am – 3pm at Benjamin L. Hooks Central Library. This free, family-friendly event features a fantastic lineup of keynote speakers, performances, workshops, exhibits, and activities for all ages. Come celebrate local authors, storytelling, and the joy of reading at Bookstock 2025—with books, performances, creativity, and fun for the whole family! Giveaways, surprises, and more await!

Struggling with schoolwork? Join us for Homework Support, a bi-monthly group designed to help LGBTQ+ youth ages 12–17 stay on track and feel confident in the classroom. Whether you need help with an assignment, want a quiet space to study, or just need encouragement from supportive peers and staff.
